Bound in half sheep, with paper over boards marbled in yellow Turkish pattern. Blind double fillets at leather edges. Rounded spine with gilt borders at top and (once, presumably) base. Black morocco lettering-piece with gilt double fillets and title: BOTANIQUE / DE / J.J. ROUSSEAU. Red speckled edges.
