Bound in full calf, with gilt decorative borders on boards. Spine with five raised bands bearing gilt dotted lines and flanked by blind single fillets. Black morocco lettering-piece with gilt dotted lines and title: ROUSSEAU / AND / MARTYN'S / BOTANY. Gold tooling on board edges, and blind tooling on turn-ins. Speckled edges. Endpapers marbled in green spot pattern.
Condition noted; 20060119. Spine edges rubbed. Grubby fore-edge on N7r. Ff6-7 nicked at base. Stains on Ii4, Ii8.
