Printers' errors in plant names. Lavandula is spelled Lavendula on plate 55; Marrubium is spelled Marrubrum in the text for plate 97.
The work was written continuously but issued in monthly parts, the text frequently ending in mid-sentence at the end of a part. Each part consisted of from three to five gatherings, and the opening leaf bears the part number at the lower left corner. For a list of the parts and their dating see accompanying document.

Vol. II: tear in fore-edge of c2; marginal staining on 3K, 3L1v; 3O-3T, 4A-4B, 5A with miscellaneous stains and foxing; stains on 4D2r; plate 97 offset onto 3X2. Vol. III: continuous stain around edges of prelims, and intermittently thereafter; tops of 5C2, 5U2 nicked; perforation near margin on 5Y1; tear in 7A at fore-edge; stain on 5E offset onto plate 141 and adjoining pages; 5R, 6G-6I, 6O-6Q, 6S-6Y, 7F, 7L with miscellaneous stains and foxing; marginal stain on 6L1r; staining at lower margin of plate 208, encroaching within plate mark.
